Pompom Frog
59In the beginning
After the misery of a failed pompom frog project, I worked out a better frog. It took me a few days, but I came up with a better idea. As I have said before, I like pompom animals because they are fun to make, fun to play with, and they're usually cute. I really wanted to figure out a cute frog after making the Ugliest Pompom Frogs in the World. (Note: Their eyes looked like a certain female body part. Just not right.) The boys loved making these frogs just as much as the Ugliest Frogs in the World. (Maybe more because the Ugliest Frogs in the World have taken a vacation, trying to find out where everything went terribly, terribly wrong.) The boys have had lots of fun playing with their finished frogs. We have yet to sail these frogs in a “pond,” but I fear it is coming and will let you know how water proof this craft is. This was an easy craft, and depending on the gluing skills of the child, it could be relatively mess-free. Evan was nearly four at the time of the project, and Sean was two. Please let me know if you try this project and how it turned out for you.
